the base of the skull to the end of the tail and hangs evenly and quite straight down each side of the body. They may

in nature and cheerful in character.
Maltese: The Maltese is a member of the bichon family and is one of the oldest European breeds. They have a beautiful
mantel of long, silky, white hair. This is their crowning glory. They are gentle-mannered and affectionate, yet

Maltese are intelligent and easy to train, but is very strong-willed. They enjoy being groomed, petted, and fondled.
Papillons: The Papillon is a small, friendly, elegant Joy dog of fine-boned structure, light dainty, and of lively action.
They are distinguished from other breeds by their beautiful, butterfly-like ears. Papillons are very devoted to their
masters, with a hearty spirit making them desirable for show or companionship. Papillons are hardly sick and usually
long lived. They adapt to almost any climate and are comfortable in an apartment as well as the country. They
are good travelers and love to be with their family. They are friendly, happy, and eager to please. The Papillion
ranks as number one Joy Dog in obedience.
Pekingese: The Pekingese is the ultimate lap dog and devoted companion. They will adapt to their environment and
surroundings. Even though they have a mind of their own and like to get their own way, they have an independent spirit
which is their most endearing characteristic.
Dachshunds: Sporty and devoted the Dachshund makes an excellent family dog. Despite their small size they make
a good watch dog with a surprisingly loud bark. Given the nickname "Sausage Dog" they are low to the ground, long in
body and short of leg with robust muscular development. The Danshund has an intelligent and alert facial expression.
There are six varieties of Dachshunds; smooth-haired, wire-haired and long-haired in two sizes, Standard and Miniature.
The smooth-haired Dachshund is the original strain, the wire-haired and the long-haired were attained by crossing the smooth-haired
with other breeds.
