Occasionally we have adults or rescues that are available.. Careful screening
is done to assure that adult and family are suitable for each other..
Most of the rescues I get are very old,and have been thrown away and forgotten about and some have some
health issues, as most older dogs do.. And I know it's hard to take an older dog knowing it may not live a very
long time.. But I have always felt that if I could make what little bit of life they have left just a bit more pleasant and
give them the love and kindness they should have always had, then it's well worth it and when they pass on, my tears
will be happy tears, because I know I did make a difference in their little lives. And I also find that ones that
have had a really hard life make such wonderful pets..As they are so grateful to have someone to finally love them..So please
open your hearts and help those that can't help themselves..

a much greater poverty than the one who has nothing to eat"
